In accordance with the provisions of Article 9 and the second paragraph of Article 10 of Law 18,045, as well as the provisions of General Rule No. 30 of the Financial Market Commission, and duly authorized to do so, I hereby inform you that at a meeting held on this date, the Board of Directors of Sociedad Austral de Electricidad S.A. (the “Company”) appointed director Mr. Iván Díaz-Molina as Chairman of the Board and of the Company and director Mr. Jorge Lesser García-Huidobro as Vice-Chairman.
