Dear Sir or Madam:
By means of the herein, duly authorized to that effect and
agreement to the provisions of article 9 “and second paragraph of article 10? of the Law
N*18.045 of the Securities Market, and in the General Standard N*30 given by
your entity, I inform you as an ESSENTIAL FACT, regarding the
Sociedad Minera Valparaíso S.A. (hereinafter the “Company”) and its offering values
public that, at the meeting of the Board of Directors of the Company held on this date, it was agreed that the
distribution of a provisional dividend of US$1.00.- per share, charged to earnings
of this year, which will be paid as of December 29, 2022, to the
shareholders registered in the respective registry at midnight on the previous fifth business day
to the date of payment. This interim dividend shall be paid, at the option of the shareholders, in
pesos or in United States dollars according to the exchange rate “dollar”
observed” published by the Central Bank of Chile in the Official Gazette on 23
December 2022, according to the procedure to be communicated in the payment notice of the
said dividend that will be published in due course in the electronic newspaper “El Líbero”.
The tax classification of this provisional dividend will be informed in its
opportunity to the shareholders.
