Dear Sir or Madam:
The undersigned in his capacity as General Manager of the corporation
closed Metrogas S.A. (hereinafter “Metrogas” or the “Company”), both domiciled in the Alderman
N*54, Las Condes, and in accordance with the resolution of the Board of Directors of the Company in its meeting on the day of
today, communicates to you the following essential information regarding the Company and its business, in
by virtue of the provisions of Articles 9 and 10 paragraph 2 of Law No. 18,045 on the Securities Market and the
General Rule No. 30 of this Superintendence:
That on August 4, 2022, Metrogas became aware of the first judgment
instance issued by the Federal Judge of first instance in the Argentine Republic, in the cases
judicial proceedings followed by Transportadora de Gas del Norte S.A. (hereinafter “TGN”), which have its
origin in 2009, when Argentina stopped supplying gas to Chile by decisions
unrelated to Metrogas itself and described in note 31 of the financial statements
of the Company (Note 31.1.2 File N*7026-2011 and Note 31.1.3. File N*7311-2015).
The judgment, not final and subject to appeal, condemns Metrogas to pay TGN according to the
defendant to the payment of invoices and loss of profits, plus costs and interest derived from a contract of
