Dear Sir or Madam:
In accordance with the provisions of article 9 per cent and subsection
second of Article 10% of Law No. 18,045 on the Securities Market, and in relation to the
Article 18 of Law No. 20,712, being duly authorized, hereby
I inform you as Essential Fact of WEG INVESTMENT FUND – 4 (the
“Background”) as follows:
As of today, the purchase by the Fund to the
company Sunedison Chile Construcción SpA, of all the shares of the company
Generación Solar SpA.
Generación Solar SpA owns and operates the photovoltaic plant
María Elena, located in the commune of Antofagasta, 11 Region, Chile, which has a
installed capacity of 72 MW, which generates 206 GWh of clean energy per year.
The purchase price was the amount of US$22,000,000.-,
payable entirely by the Fund from its own resources.
This operation is framed within the main object of investment
of the Fund in accordance with the provisions of its Rules of Procedure, concretizing with it
the third plant acquired by Fondo for a cumulative total of 170 MW in operation.
