Ref.: Informs essential fact,
Dear Sir or Madam:
Duly authorized by Eléctrica Puntilla S.A., a public limited company registered in the Registry
of Securities under number 1083 (the “Company” or the “Company”, and by virtue of the provisions
in Article 9? and in the second paragraph of Article 10% of Law No. 18,045, and the numeral
2.2. of Section II of General Standard N? 30 of the Commission for the Market
Financial (the “Commission”), I have come to report the following essential fact with respect to the
Society and its businesses:
With this date, Hidroeléctrica Ñuble SpA (“Hidroñuble”) – a subsidiary of the Company – has
proceeded to inform the Company of a new start-up date estimate
of the Central Ñuble de Pasa project (the “Project”) – for the second half of the year
2026 – thus modifying the one already reported by this Company by means of an essential fact
presented to this Commission on August 27, 2020. The new term estimate
is based on the fact that, to this date and despite the fact that Hidroñuble has made significant efforts
In pursuit of this objective, it has not yet been possible to obtain the necessary funding to
complete the Project. Without prejudice to this, Hidroñuble has informed the Company that
maintains in a process of active search for strategic partners for development and
materialization of the Project.
On the other hand, regarding the missing investment to complete the execution of the Project,
I point out to you that with this date Hidroñuble has informed the Society that it is
making a review of the construction budget, in order to incorporate in it the
Impacts generated by current economic conditions, especially but not limited
to inflationary effects, exchange rates, increases in materials and costs of
construction, etc. We inform you that this updated budget will be informed
In this way it hardly comes to our knowledge.
Finally, in accordance with the requirements of Circular 988 of this Commission,
We communicate that the financial effects that this new start-up date may
have in the results of the Company, can not be determined at this date, and therefore,
will inform once the corresponding agreements are signed with third parties and
information adequate to reasonably quantify such effects.
