In accordance with the provisions of Articles 9 and 10 of Market Law No. 18,045
of Securities and Article 63 of Law No. 18,046, on Corporations, as well as
as instructed by the Commission for the Financial Market, in Section Il of the Standard
of General Character N*30 and in Circular N*1.737, I inform you as a Fact
Essential of Compañía Nacional de Telefonos, Telefónica del Sur S.A. (the “Company”)
that, at a meeting of the Board of Directors held on the same date, a new
General Regularity Policy for Operations with Related Parties of the
Company, which is attached hereto as an annex. This policy will be found at
disposal of the Company’s shareholders at the registered offices and on the website
of the Company, in accordance with the provisions of paragraph b) of article 147 of
Law 18.046
