In accordance with the provisions of Article 9 “and second paragraph of Article 10 of Law No. 18,045 and the Standard
of General Character N* 30, I would like to inform your Commission as an Essential Company Fact
Electro Metalúrgica S.A. (the “Company”) the following:
In today’s session, the Board of Directors of the Company appointed Mr. Cristóbal Eyzaguirre Baeza as the new Director of
the Society, for the vacancy generated by the death of our beloved President Mr. Juan Antonio Álvarez
Avendaño (1).
In addition, in the same Session, Mr. Baltazar Sánchez Guzmán and Mr. Cristóbal Eyzaguirre Baeza were appointed
as Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Board, respectively.
