Dear Sir or Madam:
By virtue of the provisions of article 9 and article 10 second paragraph of the Law of
Stock Market, I communicate to you as essential information of Companies
CMPC S.A. (“the Company”) the following:
1. As is public knowledge, from December 2022 to date
presented multiple sources of fire, caused by the action of third parties, in
various areas of the country in which CMPC maintains operations. The more than 1,200
brigade members and 22 aircraft that the Company has have been active
deployed in these territories, fighting to date more than 640 fires, both
own and third parties.
2. Although the industrial facilities that the Company has in the regions of Ñuble, Bío
Bio and Araucanía have not been directly affected by the fire, they have had to
stop at various times to ensure the protection of its personnel and
nearby communities, resuming operations only once it has been possible
verify that the risk that affected them has actually decreased.
3. Despite the means of combat available, the dedication of the brigades
specialized and coordinated work with firefighters, authorities and agencies
