The undersigned, on behalf of the closed corporation Celulosa Arauco and
Constitución S.A. (the “Company”) both domiciled in the Region
Metropolitana, Avenida El Golf N* 150, piso 14, comuna de Las Condes, Santiago,
company registered in the Securities Registry with N* 42, RUT N* 93.458.000-1, and
being duly authorized, communicates to you the following information
essential with respect to the Company and its business, pursuant to the provisions of the
Article 9% and paragraph 2* of Article 10%, both of Law No. 18,045, and in the Norm of
General Character N* 30 of that Commission.
Considering current projections of future margins, differences in rate
of exchange rate and the sustained increase in risk in Argentina, and applying the
usual procedures for determining punishments or impairments according to
International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Celulosa Arauco and
Constitución S.A. and its subsidiary Inversiones Arauco Internacional Limitada will register
accounting in the financial year 2022 an impairment provision on certain assets
of the subsidiary Arauco Argentina S.A. for a net amount of deferred taxes by
an approximate value of US$83,000,000. Therefore, the negative effect of the

amount already indicated of US$83,000,000.,
