In compliance with the provisions of Article 9 and second paragraph of Article 10 of Law No. 18,045 on the Securities Market and the provisions of letter a) of Section ILA of General Standard No. 486 and Section II and Section IV of General Standard No. 30, both of the Commission for the Financial Market (the “CMF”), on behalf of the Board of Directors and being specially empowered to do so, I inform you of the following ESSENTIAL FACT regarding Compañía Cervecerías Unidas S.A. (the “Company” or “CCU”):
With this same date, the Company has carried out, in the local market, a placement of dematerialized and bearer bonds, all belonging to Series R, issued under CCU’s thirty-year bond line registered on August 30, 2022 in the Securities Registry of the CMF. under No. 1.115 (the “Series R Bonds”).
The aforementioned placement of the Series R Bonds was carried out for an amount of 4 million Development Units, at an average placement rate of 2.72%.
The Series R Bonds have a maturity date of September 15, 2042, and will accrue on the outstanding capital, expressed in Development Units, an interest of 2.70% compound annual interest, matured, calculated on the basis of equal semesters of 180 days, equivalent to 1.3410% semiannual compound.
