From our consideration:
In compliance with the provisions of article 9 and the second paragraph of article
10 of Law No. 18,045 on the Securities Market, and the provisions of NCG No. 30, and
being duly empowered to do so, in the terms provided by the
third paragraph of article 106 of the Securities Market Law I come to inform
regarding América Móvil, S.A.B. de C.V. (“AMX”) [BMV: AMX] [NYSE: AMX |
AMOV] dated October 6, 2022, Liberty Latin America Ltd. (“Liberty]
Latin America” or “LLA”) (NASDAQ: LILA and LILAK, OTC Link: LILAB) and AMX
confirm that Chile’s National Economic Prosecutor’s Office (“FNE”) approved the agreement
announced to combine their respective operations in the country, VTR and Claro
Chile, in order to form a joint venture (50:50). Operators have
fulfilled all contractual obligations and have completed the transaction.
ClaroVTR will be led by the newly appointed CEO, Alfredo Parot.
Parot recently joined Claro Chile and, prior to that, spent 16 years at
Entel Chile in a variety of commercial, operational and technological functions of
High level.
Balan Nair, CEO of Liberty Latin America, and Daniel Hajj, CEO of América Móvil,
commented: “This is an important moment that will transform the
telecommunications in Chile, as we are now authorized to accelerate the
Digital and connectivity objectives of the country for Chileans. The combination of
