From our consideration:
In accordance with Article 9? and the second paragraph of Article 10%, both of Law No. 18,045, of
Securities Market, as well as the provisions of Section II of General Standard N? 30 of your
Commission, I inform as an Essential Fact of AES Andes S.A. (the “Company” or the “Company”) the following:
As reported by Puerto Ventanas S.A. through essential fact dated December 22, 2022, the tape
Solid bulk transporter and other facilities in Puerto Ventanas suffered a fire yesterday in
by virtue of which sites 1, 2, 3 and 5 of the aforementioned Port were disabled.
As a consequence of the above, the supply of coal for the generation units of our property
located in the Ventanas Industrial Complex is suspended. If port operation is not normalized
Before the coal in the field is exhausted, the aforementioned generation units may not have
fuel to operate in the event that the Company is unable to supply itself by other means. We have consulted Puerto
Ventanas S.A. when it estimates that the port will return to work and the conditions in which it will do so and such information
is pending.
In accordance with what is stated in Circular N”988 of your decision, I inform you that at this date it is not possible to quantify
the effects that the event reported in this communication will have will be the assets, liabilities or results of the Company.
